  Here's what you need to know ........
Please note that the following information is a guideline only,
as each new DV8 production is completely different from its predecessors.
c o m p a n y   s t r u c t u r e
... DV8 produces the work of choreographer/director Lloyd Newson.
... Each new work is cast according to its content, although some performers have worked on more than one piece. The company does not have a permanent group of performers.
... The company does not keep its work in repertory.
t o u r i n g
... The frequency of tours is dictated by the rate of production of new work. There's no regular schedule.
... The gaps between tours can vary a lot.
... As the work is not held in repertory, unfortunately it's not possible to view it before booking it.
... As most tours book up early, promoters need to contact us well in advance.
... As a general rule, the company doesn't revive work after the end of a tour.
p r o d u c t i o n   i n f o r m a t i o n
... The company tends to travel with large sets.
... The need for airfreight during a tour must be known at the time of set construction, otherwise parts of the set may be unsuitable for air travel.
... The number of performers varies between 7 and 17.
... The number of crew is usually between 5 and 7 plus other travelling staff (more for preview performances).
v e n u e   r e q u i r e m e n t s
... A flat stage is required, with minimum area of 12m x 12m.
... Fixed points may be needed for flying sets and/or performers.
... Open air venues are not usually suitable.
... Water and/or flame often feature in the work.
... The preferred auditorium capacity is around 600 seats. Maximum size is around 1,000 seats.
p e r f o r m a n c e s
... For fit-up time, allow at least two-and-a-half days, with the performance on the evening of the third day. This arrangement may vary depending on the particular production.
... The minimum number of performances is 2 but a minimum of 3 is preferable.
... The length of performances is usually between 1 and one-and-a-half hours, with no interval and latecomers are not admitted.
... Many of the shows contain nudity and/or strong language and/or material that some audience members may find shocking.

... Fee rates available on request.
... For international touring, in addition to the fee, promoters are required to cover the cost of ... freight, international transport, local ground transport, accommodation in single hotel rooms and per diems in local currency equivalent to the sterling rate requested by the company.
... Promoters are also asked to cover the cost of an advance visit by the production manager where necessary.
